Only way to be sure is to have us all undo the reset and see if the days stop getting shorter...I say we need to go to the half-hour between the two settings and leave it there.

I would prefer DST in winter to extend the already short days and standard time in the longer day summer to not have daylight almost to bedtime.

I start work year round before the sun comes up and could care less about morning darkness, but its the winter evenings that i really want more sun.
