” In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, no LEOs came over to our side, and none refused orders to confiscate firearms. Even paramilitary / SWAT teams from other states participated and none of them sat it out.”

Wrong. Sheriffs set up armed roadblocks and wouldn’t allow the fat NO cops or federal gestapo to pass.

The fact that AR-15’s (and similar) have been used in “mass shootings” is wholly due to the idea sold by the media that they are the “weapon of choice” for such a purpose.

“As any fuhl kno” a semi-automatic (or even a pump) 12 gauge shotgun loaded with buckshot would be FAR more deadly in a “mass shooting situation” than an “assault weapon”.

Yet I am unaware that of even one instance of such use.

"Make us all criminals, increase their power."

Works only up to a point...said point being when the "criminals" have reached a tipping point, and band together to exercise their OWN power.

Part of Amendment XVIII:

“Section 1. After one year from the ratification of this article the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the United States and all the territory subject to the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited.

“Section 2. The Congress and the several States shall have concurrent power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

One could argue Amendment XVIII partially overrode Amendment II and permitted the restriction of machine guns.

Amendment XVIII was appealed December 5, 1933.

“Kits and receiver blanks like these can be shipped directly to the consumer, making their tracking (and proposed confiscation) virtually impossible.”

Just about everything bought off the Internet is tracked.

If you use high technology, the government can find out.

Apple, Google, Verizon and Comcast are siblings of Big Brother.

Apple can probably figure out how many deer were killed by shooters last year to about 1% accuracy.

Apple probably knows if you’ve been to the local gun store too.

Bush Jr. created a program of Total Information Awareness.

The government can control any area simply by limiting food shipments.

One thousand angry gun bearers in Hattiesburg, Mississippi are no danger to Communist tyrants in the District of Columbia.

We’re not in 1783 America anymore.

If you hide behind a tree with your AR-15, a rocket-propelled grenade can take your breath away.

homicides are up 3.2 percent, Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent; Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)! In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent....

Those numbers would be much larger in the US if the gun grabbers get their way.

“Even more so considering that a large portion of the law enforcement officers will come over to our side if it ever came down to an attempt to take our firearms by force.”

The Bonus Army of former soldiers was run out of town by current soldiers in 1933.

Multi-million dollar pensions are the norm in law enforcement. Big Red Brother will have reliable helpers.

If he actually won and tried to make it happen, he wouldn’t be alive long enough to see the end results.

Just sayin’...

Beto needs to show us that he is serious about this and go to the Mexican border to disarm the Cartel members in our country. He can also retake American territory that has been taken by the cartels in Arizona.

I disagree. The use of any firearm, let alone a machine gun, is absolutely unnecessary to the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors. That someone (or even everyone) who does those things would want to have a machine gun is utterly irrelevant.

You could just as easily twist the 18th Amendment to override the 1st Amendment, the 4th, the 5th, etc. But it wouldn’t work to override those rights, any more than it would work to override the 2nd.

You’ll fire that rocket once and then a hail of bullets will rain down.
