LOL...karma does it all the time.
Still no aftershocks. Hope it wasn’t a foreshock.
After ten years in LA and another 10 in SF, I’m rather an expert on quakes. A 3.9 wouldn’t even raise my eyebrow.
Agree, but then we are in the country where we have the opportunity to hear the quake coming, hear it as it gets closer, and the sound grows louder, feel the quake slam into the house, and hear it as it travels off, and the sound fades as the quake grows distant. The hearing it adds considerably to the experience.
Yes, it’s still a piddly 3.9, but it’s an experience not knowing what the sound of that quake we hear coming across the valley is going to do to our house, our lives until it does hit. Then once it does hit, and the sandwich is still in our hand, the plates, the bowls are still on the table, the house remains standing, and we hear the quake fade off into the distance we shrug our shoulders, and take another bite of lunch. It’s California. What can I say? I’ve lived in California 72 years with 32 of those years in this house.
I used to dive bomb this place. LOL
(FR is doubling my posts tonight)?
That’s really interesting. And scary. Thanks for elucidating.
Now that looks kewl. Thanks.
