In 1968, pollution was a crisis. Dead and deformed fish, smog, burning rivers, etc. Plenty of legislation was enacted, and most of the problem was solved in the US. Pollution is no longer a crisis, or even a major problem. Plastics, glass and metal are recycled. Tabs no longer are detached from cans. Sewage and industrial waste are treated.
But dumbasses who weren’t there when all these reforms were enacted want to keep the crisis going so they can feel important. Eric Hoffer uses this phenomenon to differentiate between good and bad mass movements. The bad movements want to keep the active phase going forever, and keep inventing fantasy pretexts to effect that. A good mass movement is willing to declare victory, and hand over the movement to practical men who can give the movement permanency. We see Hoffer’s distinction unfolding before our eyes. Environ-mental-ism is a bad movement.

Climate change is caused by the Sun, and perhaps other outside elements in the solar system, not you and not mankind.

The democRATS are always running from their own shadows. I was at a pool-side potluck for my townhouse association in Arizona years ago. I was talking to a neighbor who was a flaming liberal.
