Brees is below Brady in total sacks, yet above him in roughing the passer calls. Why is Brees never derided as whining for a call? I believe it is perception and bias. What are your thoughts? Thanks for posting.
Dink and dunk...handoff to young fresh running backs...assidiously assembled offensive line gives good protection for his quick passes...he trains well also....but yeah...dink and dunk is the main reason. Blame the rules committee on “competition”
Brady is healthy and takes good care of himself.
Luck had a broken foot that has bothered him for the past 4 years. He was tired of the constant pain.
Disclaimer: YMMV
That would motivate me to get out of my coffin.
but yeah...dink and dunk is the main reason.
“Since 2016, Brady has thrown 659 passes beyond 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, most in the league.”
Using
@PFF
QB charting and actual ball location on each pass, most accurate passers on 10+ yard passes (10+ air yards from line of scrimmage) over the last three years (including playoffs):
1. Tom Brady 55.8%
2. Andrew Luck 53.8
3. Drew Brees 53.6
4. Patrick Mahomes 51.5
5. Matt Ryan 50.3
Passer Rating
1. Brady 120.2
2. Wilson 119.2
3. Brees 113.4
4. Ryan 113.4
5. Cousins 112.8
Prominent QBs that throw for less air-yards than Brady per attempt are names like Foles, Roethlisberger, Newton, Mariota, Manning, and Prescott. Wentz, Brees, Flacco, and Rodgers throw for just a hair more.
