We stayed in Annapolis en route to Texas from Germany when hub retired from USAF.

We’d considered living in Maryland

The main street in Annapolis, leading to the capitol bldg, is fabulous. Lily oulizyshops, sushi bars and yachting gear stores. On that street is a four story building with shiny brass lettering for its title

Maryland Department of Education

I saw that and said uh uh Bubbie, we are not putting our kids into a school system that treats its administrators a way better than it treats its students. And they are NOT going to support our being open to home schooling. No.

It is a fact...the city used it’s budget (not the school budget) to cover sixty buses going to DC for the anti-gun rally back in early spring 2018. General estimate was $100k in the month prior when talking about this.
