Buddhist practice “mindfulness” with grounding so I will think twice before I try it again.
We went barefoot often as kids, but that was ages ago.
Didn't do much for his airplane, though.
It pretty much grounded itself.
Maybe you would have just felt better by spending time outdoors even with your shoes on. I don’t discount it though - more power to ya! I like to sungaze and I understand that works better barefoot as well.
i don’t think people here in Texas go barefoot very much. Too many stickery things in the grass plus the ants and st. augustine isn’t that nice to walk on anyway.
Rid yourself daily of built up pootrons.

Technically if grinding your body had anything to do with electricity one foot in the dirt for half a second is as effective as 6 hours of walking around.

How to get hookworm with this one easy trick!
If you are not properly grounded, you may produce 60 cycle hum when you speak or fart.
Yeah, slicing one’s foot open on glass is always a buzzkill.
Did it twice while swimming in less than perfect water and got infections both times.
When I was 15 , I was ground for 6 months . Didnt work out well for any of us .
Many years ago, I was camping in a remote section of western desert (well it’s all remote) and cell phone coverage was spotty to nonexistent. I tried to phone home without success, to get a tower. I was using one of those 20 dollar TracFones. I found a high open area, still no luck. Then I considered that I needed a better antenna. I had some wire in the truck. But I knew a good ground plane is half of antenna circuit. So I kicked off my rubber flip-flops and got a signal and successfully made the call. That’s what they call “anecdotal” but it didn’t seem to hurt.
I doubt the new agey part about grounding. Hippies went barefoot all the time and look how wacked out they were.
Wow! If bare feet make you feel so much better, why not REALLY get happy and join a nudist colony?
Boots are great, but aren’t foolproof. My uncle had an exterminating business and stepped on a nail while in a crawlspace. He had little to no feeling in his feet because of diabetes, and he didn’t notice the nail until he got home and couldn’t get his boot off.
