We’re just going to have to to disagree.
In Grease, the boy was a putz.
In Falcon Crest, the man was gorgeous.
It wasnt totally disco. And done by 60s dude Frankie Valli!
I’m sorry, but no. The big Blues man in Chicago back in my day was Buddy Guy and the best blues group in Chicago and the Midwest back then was a band called “Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows.” They were a great blues band...
Same thing in “The Harvey Girls” (with Judy Garland). Surprising ending for me: she was the nice girl who wanted to be like one of the dance hall girls if it meant getting her man. No moral center. Disappointing.
Thank you, and yes, it was a gas. Even though they weren’t there to see our band, it was a rush to play in front of 40,000 to 60,000 people at these festivals. I couldn’t imagine what it’s like to be a band that draws that many people, like the Rolling Stones. I mean were we really nothing more than a back up band. But it was still a blast. But I will say, when we played on our own in college towns and bars, we would pack them in, on a much smaller level. I think they refer to bands like that as Bar Stars...
Oh no prob of course. I was able to see Buddy Guy in Knoxville, TN circa 1993. He waded deep into the crowd using an ultra long guitar cord, if memory serves. Pretty sure he wasn’t using a wireless. Great show.
Ugh!
You are a contrarian.

I loved the music in Grease but hated its message. I always loved, Singing in the Rain, The Music Man, On the Town, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Paint Your Wagon, and Ive also enjoyed Little Shop of Horrors.
Marat/Sade is best seen performed live.
I saw it at the Dallas Theatre Center.
But the video is really good, too.
I went to boarding school with Lorenzo. He wrestled my weight class, but never got to wrestle in a meet. I’m still in touch with him... he works as a helicopter pilot.
Very Interesting.
Very interesting stories!
“In movies, the greatest ever is Singinin the Rain, hands down! Great story, comedy and music all in one short to-the-point power-packed film!”
I love this movie. One of my faves. I love musicals, period, xyz horse feathers.
I have only watched bits and pieces of that movie because I can’t tolerate John Travolta’s acting in that particular movie. Seriously miscast or misdirected, in my opinion.
