Probably true. Democrats have never had a problem with subverting the rule of law and abusing the tools of government.

I think this “expert” is only slightly correct. Rosenstein is not “dead inside” at all. He is lost in his own thoughts and *extremely* stressed out. Eye movements indicate he is remembering things in his thoughts. This is a man under extreme stress. Something was said to him immediately before coming out that made him terribly uncomfortable, and he is trying to work it out in his mind as he stands there.
My take. I think Barr has Rosenstein by the shorthairs and Rosenstein knows it. He is Barr’s Bitch. Barr is going to allow him to spill his guts and try to retain some sense of dignity. If he doesn’t I’m sure Barr will destroy him.

I think your take is essentially correct - remember, the coup plotters have already tried to throw Rosenstein under the bus by blabbing to the NYT that he talked about wearing a wire in the White House to support a 25th amendment coup against DJT.

Still, it is telling that so few republicans are on camera defending the president. I still have hope that the actual will of the people will prevail. That will being to support most of his policies. A lot will have to do with the state of the economy and rate of full time employment.
