Can someone please explain to me why cold is better than warm?
= = = = = = = =
I would prefer the ice for my drink to be cold rather than warm.....<: <: <:
In cold weather, steam engines stay warm, diesel engines stay warm, gasoline engines stay warm. Batteries get cold. Duh!
They just need solar powered heated garages to put the Telsa in.
Otherwise get 10 lba of charcoal and light it up under the car to keep it warm.
Good question. Lancet (British medical journal) analyzed a huge database that proved that seasonally, cold weather causes 20x more "excess deaths" than hot weather.
In -15 temperatures last week, I saw a Chevy Volt on the highway obviously struggling to maintain 50 mph. I am certain the little garden tractor sized engine that provides power to the batteries on Chevy Volts was working at full capacity straining to keep up with the cold.
