I’m baaaa—cck.
Thanks for the wishes for safe travel—they were answered. No problems.
Wildly fun time with the kids and grandkids.
We travel to NJ to be with them, as it is much easier for us to travel than for them with the little ones and the distance involved.
We purchased a ten person dinner from Boston Market so no one would have to cook or clean up. Fed us all for two days.
Our tradition is before we give gifts, we gather around and I read Luke 2:1-20 from the Bible. We started this when our kids were little, and everyone, even young and old, sits to listen. In years past, even guests were included.
After we read, I tell my family how proud I am each of them and how much my wife and I love them.
Then, it is a whirlwind of gifts, laughter, kids squealing—I just take it all in and realize how blessed I am.
Exhausting but so much fun.
Finally got caught up on the thread, and it seemed like everyone behaved, with no one waiting for bail. I am very proud of all of you.
Now, let’s have breakfast!
Good morning, lysie!
I missed your breakfasts—nothing like them on the road.
Thanks so much!
yeah, Ive been looking for the old Christmas shows but havent done very many of them.
Good morning, Dolly.

President @RT_Erdogan of Turkey has very strongly informed me that he will eradicate whatever is left of ISIS in Syria....and he is a man who can do it plus, Turkey is right next door. Our troops are coming home!
Merry Christmas Eve, exit.
What a wonderful time, it sounds like you/your family had. I completely understand the ‘we travel to the grands, rather than they travel’ thing. We do the same.
I really love your tradition of reading Luke 2: 1-20, before exchanging gifts.
A very blessed time, indeed.
Glad you are home, safe. Have a VERY Merry Christmas.
(Thanks for saving some breakfast for the vultures :-)
Thanks for the Santa tracking link. Will bring this up, on the TV monitor....for the grands, later today. We’ll keep an eye on Santa, on the big screen :)
Welcome home!!!
Sounds like you had a wonderful, special time.
Thank you, Jane, and a very Merry Christmas to you as well!
Nothing like seeing the wonder of Christmas through a child’s eyes.
Keeps us all young.
Good morning, LG!
Yes, it was a wonderful time.
Still basking in the afterglow.
You’re welcome.
I had no idea that this has been a tradition since 1955.
The 1st call in was by a little boy who got the wrong number but the military officer who answered didn’t skip a beat but answered the young boy and told him where Santa was visiting at that moment, going on since.
Snowballs and snowflakes, that is too funny.
Oh boy Im glad you made pancakes! I cant make them worth a darn
That was a beautiful post dolly. Thank you
Sounds like a wonderful time for your family. Im glad you had it and are back safe and sound
Good morning to everyone, except the mullahs of Iran, whose moment in history is quickly drawing to a close, and whose reign of terror over the Persian people will soon end.
The only reason there was no problems for you to come back to is that everyone was either busy shopping, baking cookies, and then pax and ms behaving are sick. Those latter two are probably the main reason :-)
I’ll take whatever works, CB!
Merry Christmas!
Good Christmas Eve morning to you, CB.
Headed out to Slaveway, in a bit, for a little last minute shopping and to take around a little Christmas cheer to dear friends.
