OBD- or use the bent Paper clip and then count the Check Engine Lamp, 277 times😜
QVACK-QVACK Duct tape it is.
Nice.
To use the AutoZone $5 “spark plug non fouler” part:
You must make one tiny mod to the part, but it’s detailed on YouTube and it’s easy:
Basically for one of those 2 metal cups you get a 0.5 inch drill bit in an ordinary drill, and you widen the hole in the cup to 0.5 inch so that you can slip it over the 02 sensor’s protruding sensor proboscis thingy, then screw in that sucker onto the existing O2 sensor recepticle threads.
With some 02 Sensors like Bosch if the Cat P code does not clear, in some cases u must again unscrew the modded part, then stuff a very small tuft of ordinary STEEL WOOL in there (thereby adding MORE ballast), then screw back on:
VOILA, even a stubborn Catalyst P code will then be cleared away.
Note - I don’t rule out that there might be some obscure cars on which this might not work. But over 80% of cars, this procedure works.
I even doubt ANYONE uses the part for, “spark plug non foul”-ing.
My experience is the EVAP CAN dont self-empty. Either R&R and dump/air blower nozzle, Replace CAN or drill a small hole (1/8), drain and put a screw and sealing washer in hole.
Or buy new or salvaged CAN.
I think you have a large vacuum leak going to the evap cannister. It is large enough to be leaning the engine to the point the O2 sensors are able to see it and effect EGR cycle.
Try a dealer’s maintenance shop?
