Author makes a lot of good points. There’s a dam out there of non-white conservatism that is only held back because white liberals are so effective at painting the Republicans as racists. 2016 was a big breakthrough because Trump jettisoned certain aspects of think tank conservatism (trade, immigration, foreign adventurism) that were preventing the white working class from fully switching sides. The Trumpian GOP now has the white working class at the cost of a few think tank conservatives in New York, DC and California, where their votes don’t matter very much.
But if the GOP can conclusively break this stranglehold that the left has on non-whites, and I think they can, then you have the potential for a governing conservative majority that could last decades. It’s not easy though, there are billions and billions of dollars in media, education, organizing, corporate culture, etc., etc., all going the other direction.
I was looking yesterday at a thread on DU where they were dreaming of leaving America for a “better” country. None of those white lefties who love to call us racist, and love socialism considered third world socialist paradises like Cuba, Vietnam or Venezuela. They love to call us “Islamophobic”, but for some reason none wanted to go to Malaysia, Sudan or Saudi Arabia. They castigated Trump for calling Haiti, Somalia and Honduras “shitholes”, but none seem to want to move there either. Nope, they all were talking about France, Denmark, Norway, UK, Australia, New Zealand and even Iceland, the whitest country on earth. That’s white liberalism for you.
