I agree with your assessment of the Republican Leadership. First, virgil, eliminate the Enemy Proper. In this case, it’s the Democrats. EACH AND EVERY DEMOCRAT. Vote them out of office or vote to keep them from getting into office this Election Day. THEN we can take care of eliminating the Enemy Incidental. Deprive them of the very thing they need to live and breath on: MONEY. Give to Pres Trump directly if you trust him. If you do not wish to give money, give time to local elections. For this view to hold water, influencing the investigation has to be worth it to the Deep State FBI. I don't think that they need or want to get in the middle of this fight. They are still trying to overthrow Trump and now also trying to save their own skin. Choosing a side on the Kavanaugh confirmation does not help the FBI, and most likely hurts them. It won't happen.
