There are few, who are involved in his operation who are from the right. But he’s friends with more leftists than anything else.
Did George Ryan even serve 5 years? It seems that he was out before he served his time. Blago really screwed someone in the Illinois Combine to get 14 years. It will be interesting to see how long he lives once he is out of prison.
Blago was a classmate of mine at Lane Tech HS in Chicago but I do not remember him, of course with a student body of over 5000 that was not a hard thing to do...
LT was a tough school to get into, you had to apply and have the chops (grades) to get in, no exceptions for political family members so he had to be smart. But I being a Republican was not prone to follow all the nonsense involved in Chicago Politics. He transferred to another Public School and graduated, at LT if you did not maintain at least a C average in your Sophomore year you had to go.
Politics there permeated life every day, and it was and still is a virtual religion there. I still have many friends there and they may whine and moan about it but change like tossing the Dems out will come from downstate, not in Cook County
Madigan and his whole family is the key to busting things up in Illinois, he is the power broker (think “Don Madigan” as in Godfather) and what he wants happens, and nothing moves without his assent for it to happen. You take him down and the whole house of cards may crumble, if he lives long enough to squeal
Not saying Rod is a clean player, but is you read this article it is plain that he was sacrificed to make a path for Obozo and Shillary (Both Chicago “Playahs”) or subjects alomg with many others to make their moves. My Sister went to Maine south HS where cankles attended for a short time, but I have no insight into the political leanings there as it is in the suburbs and not in the city and generally an affluent area which means you can whine but what are you gonna do about it?
This is very interesting, I look forward to seeing how DJT plays this and Rod needs to keep his insurance policy up to date, things just somehow “happen” there

Yeah, as in Frank Nitti, think Capone mob time frame, was his grandfather, I asked but never mentioned it again after I asked and he told me...
I wish I could remember the details - and I’ll go looking - but I remember the general opinion was that “He got railroaded”. He was jailed for a crime he didn’t commit. St Bath House et al. got him out of the way and ran a few dozen buses over him.
As naive as I was even them I also remember being appalled at what happened to Rod, and THAT is when I knew St Bath House was a very dirty man.
My recollection is that this is the guy who tried to sell Obama's Senate seat. I also believe he spoke of knowing more about the Criminality that is Chicago Land, and was wanting to make a deal.
Him talking about Obama and the various behind the scenes corruption can only be good for our side.
Wonder what Blago will sing about in exchange for his freedom?
They better get it on video before he is released though - I see an arkancide in Blago’s future.
Because his sentence was out of proportion?
