You say that like it would be some sort of problem and not a rare musical skill.
My first trip to China and Japan, I had to ask for a fork. It was embarrassing. The next trip over, I flew ANA and they give you chopsticks on the plane, so I taught myself. Since then the folks think I am a natural. Interestingly enough, in Thailand I found they prefer western utensils, even though some dishes are more efficient with chopsticks. Eating an omelet with one requires some dexterity, but you can do it. And I love the peanuts in that vinegar sauce! Yum! And in Japan I have been to many Korean BBQ places and kimchi is just awesome. Goes great with whatever you have. I agree also on efficiency - try eating shabu shabu with a fork!
Twice!
You will master the art of silver chopsticks I’m sure....I’m half-Korean and still request wooden chopsticks. :)
Pickling is different than fermentation so I can not see where the benefits would be
This thread is more informative. There are a multitude of ways kimchi is made and prepared...and not all are equal or same or spicy...some people like eating it by itself, but Koreans almost always at the bare minimum have it accompany a bowl of fresh cooked hot rice! :)
