In my day, a goober like Comey would have had quite a few black & blue marks on them throughout their high school career.

He seems to have had a pretty good career in general.
However, I think when tough judgement calls have to be made that he simply isn’t always up to making the right ones.
Someone may make a great office manager, but not be capable of making CEO type decisions.
Think of Theresa May. She is generally quite a tough & smart cookie, but she has made a mess of Brexit.
