But I think you are right. He was seen soon enough that the danger to President Trump was minimal.
He presented plenty of danger to others there, but President Trump was already inside and relatively safe at his closest approach.
It can’t be plausible that the Secret Service was oblivious to any of this typical idiocy from Greenpeace. If it was, there is a very serious problem.
The Greenpeace organization should be held accountable too.

What’s the point of designating ‘restricted airspace’ if the restriction is not going to be seriously enforced? This sets a terrible precedent for other would be violators.

This stunt seemed to catch everyone by surprise. It is suggestive of a very serious (i.e., lax) security problem.
