It was the hottest ticket in DC and Trump used it to build momentum among those who will be voting (among others) on this nominee.
They can’t help but be influenced by the event and by rising and applauding this judge.
It was smart and controlled the media, as well as keeping the DNC from getting an effective message out to the public.
