The NFL is a multibillion dollar business that caters to people who are mostly pro-American, pro-military, pro-Trump, and it would look like the owners finally remembered this.If the owners were guided by actual patriotism, I suppose that they would've acted differently last season.

And don’t forget
There was an election.
Or a hurricane...
Or people forgot who their favorite team was..
(OK, I made up that last one)

I think the ship has sailed. NFL just isn’t fun anymore.

I just watched a local Pittsburgh PA news station and they interviewed a big black dude who is a Steelers player. Don't know his name but this guy could barley put a complete sentence together and was crying the blues about the locker room policy saying he was being bullied. The NFL will never be the same.

Can you believe this creep is the off-spring of Howie Long?
In one of his last games, I watched Howie damn near freeze to death in a game against Green Bay back in December of 1991. It was at least 10 below zero and Howie was still playing his guts out.
He needs to have "the talk" with his son.

Here’s a thought experiment: let’s imagine instead that some NFL player decided to exercise his 1st Amendment rights, and burned a flag on the field during the anthem.
It’s ridiculous to think the NFL can’t mandate player behavior. As usual, the Left has the intellectual clout of a rock.

Yep, I did not watch one game last year, looks like I won’t watch one this year. A 15-yard penalty? How about a 15-yard penalty for every play of the game after a kneeling incident?
The NFL would never go along, but a great new penalty would be that every kneeling player has to start every subsequent play of that game from the kneeling position.

Let them stand, kneel, crawl on their bellies or sit in lounge chairs. They should have the freedom to speak and behave as they choose.
And I can ignore them, not buy from their sponsors, and never watch a game all season.
It will all work itself out.

Yes, he is the son of Howie Long.

All BS excuses. College football viewership was way up last year.
To: GuavaCheesePuff
Chris Long, spoiled brat offspring of a multimillionaire. Social justice posturing to be cool.

Well said. Yes they have freedom of expression, and those of us who hold differing views, exercise our freedom to not patronize the business of NFL football. Everyone is exercising their rights .
