OK, I don’t need to quibble with another Freeper, but I happen to think that any tax incentive to save and invest rather than spend is a good idea. 401k, 403b, 459, IRAs, are all great. So are Medical Savings Accounts. So if some GOP congress wants to set up a college or home buying or retirement plan, tax-deferred, for little babies, I’m OK with that.

Not their business. Should be out of it all.

And most certainly shouldn’t be pouring other taxpayers’ funds into them.

But yes, Freepers can disagree. Sometimes even agreeably.

It’s still a LOAN my friend. Government stays out of it. Combine it with a systematic elimination of entitlements that can legitimately be (re)defined as theft.

No, it is a cash entitlement payout.

No little baby is competent to enter into a loan agreement anyway. ;-)
