Ann Coulter says it best...

First rule of wisdom is to ignore hysterical Ann Coulter. She herself said women should not vote, and perhaps she should take her own advice (though I agree with her, actually).

No border wall, no sign bill.

This reminds me of those tribes in Africa whose language does not seem to possess an ability to reckon any comprehension of long term thinking. The bill is only for 6 months. Is there a deadline that we are unaware of for when the wall can begin?

Frankly, you people are so obnoxious with these bouts of hysteria that come every few months or so that I would be glad if you simply all renounced Trump and quit posting. It's so obnoxious! And what makes it worse is that you'll still be posting here months from now either basking in the glory of some success or overthrowing the whole world with the next hysteria.

I hope Trump is secretly making contacts with good people that he can trust for the Senate and House elections. Trump has to develop his own base, his own team. He has been playing with the enemies team.

they don’t have to win elections in order to govern.

...nor go to war. Knowing what we know now, I think we should have completed WWII by destroying the last of the anti-American "isms": Communism. America let it stand not necessarily for war weariness but for the dirty little secret that a great portion of America was and still is left leaning in many degrees and we were and still are infiltrated by leftist enemies. These idiots running things are the spawn of everything left. Let's be real, Conservatives hold very few institutions of high impact on American society.

Conservatism/originalism is the last and only hope for America. I see the flame one day being extinguished if all stays the same.

I am mostly pissed off at Ryan & McConnell. McConnell for being an idiot and NOT getting rid of the filibuster to go nuclear. Neither of them worked this bill well and just gave freebies away for votes! Elections have consequences, and after keeping President Trump hamstrung with the Russia scandal, it was time for Republicans to close ranks and play hardball with the traitorous Democrat-Communists! But the wussy leaders just failed Trump. Funding Sanctuary Cities, abortions, a program that funded the failed Florida foot bridge that killed Americans, losing 2nd Amendment Rights due to gross negligence on behalf of law enforcement in the Florida high school shooting, funding NPR, including the Cloud Act in the Omni and border walls for other nations, while leaving out funding for OUR wall? This smacks of disrespect on behalf of the Rino Leader never-Trumpers! Yeah! I am pissed off and I wanted Trump to shove their appropriations bill right back up their ash!

Cruz voted against the Omnibus, Senators who were against it should not be targeted at all.

The ones who did, we certainly have a lot of turncoats.

Okay, I’m not one of those who will take my ball and go home. I’m frustrated by this Omnibus; but most everything else done by Trump I find acceptable if not being very supportive of.

Cruz is the ultimate swamper and always votes "no" when the victory is certain. When the victory isn't certain, he votes for it, like with TPA, then says later he was fooled by this or that person who made a promise, even though he basically endorses the whole thing at this or that debate. Worst of all, Cruz is compromised on immigration too. He will never support a wall, and all claims to the contrary should be taken with as much sincerity as he reacted on the issue during the campaign--which is to say, no sincerity at all.

Cruz should be crushed, but there is no one in Texas challenging him, so we're stuck with him in the meantime.

“First, we have to do away with career politicians, completely. No one should EVER be in public office for a cumulative period of more than 16 years - including all local, state, and federal offices held. No one should hold any federal office for more than 12 years.”

I’m so sure our representatives will get right on limiting their opportunity to stay in power and fleece the country./s They blow us off about our desire for term limits and give themselves a raise at the same time.

you can vote for conservatism, but you can’t get it. 50 years of social engineering in the schools and the destruction of the working class by the elites have created a nation where conservatism can’t work anymore.

Yep. How long does it take before the rust destroys the steel? How long before the cancer untreated destroys the body? Whether Trump or the next leader, this nation is gone as far leftist as what was perceived back only to Reagan if we did not fight back. ( Like the song by Billy Currington _ God is great beer is good & people are crazy). Trump just solidified the end to the liberties which we once bestowed on us & our posterity. The positives is we got a few more yrs by not having The Hildabeast in office wiping us all conservatives to the Gitmo.

Trump may not be perfect but he’s the best we’ve got and a real Patriot.

I said the same thing about Bush I...

Bush II...

Reagan... (Oh yes! Reagan too!)

I’m tired of the same sh+t.

Dance Monkeys! Dance!

Time to face the blunt political facts.

Even at the best of times, Conservatives have held only a slight majority in the Republican Party.

In addition, Conservatives have had no serious national leadership since Newt Gingrich imploded around 1996.

Not only have we lost Gingrich, we have also lost National Review and the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, and about two years ago we lost Matt Drudge.

Our last line of defense is Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Fox News, Judicial Watch, and Free Republic.

And Trump?

The only hope I have left for that guy is that he will appoint another Conservative to the Supreme Court before 2020.

Trump was set up and avoided stepping on a mine but his soldiers are all set to go AWOL because they can’t see past their noses.

You hit the nail on the head. After the election of 2016 where the Progressive nature of many formerly right-leaning institutions was revealed, I would say that we control none of the institutions of high impact anymore.

>>How long before the cancer untreated destroys the body?

Unfortunately, cancer always wins.

>>The positives is we got a few more yrs by not having The Hildabeast in office wiping us all conservatives to the Gitmo.

As with your cancer analogy, we got our death as a free nation pushed back a few years. Outside of our little conservative ghetto here on FR, no one else really wants it anymore. Many of them want parts of it, especially the rewards, but they shy away from the tough choices.

But that’s not really new. Even during the heyday of Conservativism, the 1980s, people were like that. But it seemed to work then because we had more prosperity to spread around. The 90’s taught the elites how to take and keep all the wealth so that the little people would never be able to ride the conservative/prosperity high ever again.

No, it proves congress and the Democrats are an easy mark.

Trump rolled them but good.

Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.

He just took control of the money.
