Oddly enough, you're close. I had a crisis of conscience, as it were. It was somewhat odd , to me, that when I moved to first Florida, and then Oklahoma, the police did not, actually, seem interested in supplementing their income, like Chicago cops. I didn't know there were honest public officials.

Imagine my surprise when the Florida HP actually handed back the $50 clipped to my drivers license. I honestly didn't know such people existed. This was back when Bell's Gun Store was still on Mannheim, near Belmont, the one with the stuffed polar bear in the window. The Original King Dick had just died...

Maybe I'm just mellowing out as I get older, don't you think that given both our close proximity to that hive of scum and villainy that nuking is a bit extreme? Think of the fallout, blast radius and unintended victims here.

I think cutting Chicago out like the cancer it is, kicking it to the middle of Lake Michigan and letting it sink might be better.

Most non-Illinois residents have no idea how RED this state actually is once Chicago's taken out of the mix. Eliminate Chicago and the Chicago Democrats and this state's problems are mostly solved.
