This is America. You want a dictatorship? Its normal to be divided and have numerous perspectives. There may be more unity than you realize...natural disasters reveal them.

Agree. And who is this Aleksander Yakavenko the author quoted? There is one who appears to still be Russian ambassador to the U.K. I doubt he is the one. Perhaps this Alek. Yakavenko is really Ukrainian? Personally, I could give a Berber boy’s hepatic turd about doping in sports and it has been going on in Russia and its satellites longer than Putin had any power. As for Singapore’s and China’s progress resulting by playing by the rules, you got to be shittin’ me. As for Putin making deals with the countries mentioned, check you global map and note that they are all neighbors. And the muslim “Stans” inside its boundaries? You either have to pacify those residents or kill them. Enriching a strongman leader can be an effective way to ensure his minions won’t bite you too bad. Remember KaDaffy Duck and Saddam H.?

you are about 25 years out of date.

Today, Russia is very much a Christian Country whose gov’t supports the faith of its people is many symbolic and powerful ways.

Capitalism in Russia is freewheeling and robust exactly the way it’s supposed to be. Living Standards are booming and have been for a long while.

It’s not a paradise, but Russia and the US have much in common and are natural allies

Yes the Rules have Changed, and significantly in favor of Putin, but changed unfortunately for the same Socialist Globalist Prog Leftists and Western MSM that denigrate President Trump, too.

As far as being unprepared, Russia's successful foray's into Syria and Crimea put the horse manure into your and Goble's assessment.

Vooch, i have lived there. It is not the Soviet Union, agreed. It is filled with potential and the two biggest cities in particular are spectacular to behold.

But it retains just enough of the Soviet Union under Putin and will not blossom until he leaves. Period.

And living standards have been on decline for the past 5 years due to oil prices and sanctions. This is especially true for Russia’s heartland, where Putin traditionally has the most loyalty.

In terms of “Islamization” concerns:

Russian Muslims have higher birthrates than slavic Russians, so the demographic crisis remains to be tackled. Migrants from Central Asia make up 10% of Russian population.(They come in visa-free due to labor shortfall posed by demographic crisis.) Moscow is the most Muslim city in Europe rivalling Paris. None of this is a secret.

Russia’s ties to Islamic world, its alliances with Iran and Turkey especially have historical basis spanning centuries.

Some Orthodox Christians even boast about co-existing better with Muslims than with Roman Catholics.

Are you against Jerusalem as the capital of Israel?

Hell NO!

President Trump is the President who acted on the promise of every American President since Nixon to recognize Jerusalem as the capitol city of Israel and put the American Embassy there.

No other American President could get this done.

Interesting, considering:

1) Each nation has the right to declare which city within that nation is their Capitol.

2)The Jewish Tribe has occupied Jerusalem and considered it their Capitol for more than three thousand years.

I don't even know Putin's position on this, but guessing from his Russian Bureaucratic method of action, it would be "Don't stir up the pot, time will work it out".

You will note that Putin and Russia have excellent relations with Israel, and have for Putin's tenure.

I personally support Israel, but I do not support or tolerate Liberal crap from Jews.

More like:

The Soviet Union and subsequently the Russian Federation has and has had long standing alliances by Treaty with Iran and Syria which Putin has honored while serving in elected office in the Russian Federation.

Additionally during his tenure, Putin has advanced a good relationship and many mutually beneficial agreements with Israel, and numerous high ranking Israeli officials, and acted on behalf of Russian-Israeli Jews.

Putin has also managed to get along with almost the entire Middle East with the notable exception of ISIS Terrorists and US supported and armed Syrian "Rebels" (a misspelling of "Terrorist"). Further, Putin has established a working relationship with Turkey, the Saudis, the Emirates, and stays out of places like Lebanon and Yemen.

Get your facts straight.

...for however long this will last.

Yeah, seventeen years and counting now.
