there is always a “may I call” contact first. If the family says no then no. If Trump calls it is because the family gave a green light.
If Hillary Clinton was President, she would have told this widow it didn’t make any difference why, or how her husband died. I wonder if she would have felt like she’d been disrespected then.
I think the biggest threat to Trump’s presidency is people just being exhausted with him.
Right, wrong or indifferent, no one wants a two weeks news cycle involving a feud or dispute with a war widow.
At the moment, I’m supposed to actively hate the NFL, Hollywood, NBC News, some War Widow, Sasse, Corker, McConnell, Meghan Kelly, McCain, that mayor in Puerto Rico, George W Bush, the FBI, all health insurance companies, Amazon, Google, Apple, and god knows who else.

I agree. If they had just ignored the congresswoman and the family, maybe just say they are sad that they are trying to make their loss political, it would die down sooner.
