This crime had expert planning and yet he brought 23+ extra guns to the hotel room.
Knowing that he would likely have time to shoot at most 3 or 4.
Bringing in that much extra hardware that he would never use actually make it much more likely that it would be discovered.
So why all the extra guns? Either he was expecting help or he was trying to make a point about guns.
This was a man who planned every detail. Think about it.
He likely had extra guns because he was misusing them. He’d take a rifle with a bump stock and 100 round magazine and fire it all at once. Not only bad for accuracy but likely to ruin the gun. So, instead of reloading, he picked up another fully loaded rifle with bump stock and started again.
He fired over 1000 rounds into the crowd in about 10 separate “volleys.” So, he likely used 10 or more guns in the attack, not including the revolver he offed himself with.
We don’t know if he used 4 or 10 or more guns. The police have been very silent on the details.
Usually after a mass shooting we know within a few days exactly what they used.
He still risked discovery by bringing in so much hardware. He put his whole operation in jeopardy.
Also the crowd he choose to attack speaks volumes about his purpose. They had just finished singing “God Bless America”.

Yes, the police have been silent on certain details but have elected to share others. As we’ve seen, the “facts” that have been shared have shifted over time.
No, we don’t know exactly how many guns he used. But based on the circumstances and logic, it certainly seems more likely that the number that he used was closer to 10 than 4.
So, the short answer to “why so many guns?” Options (and the uncertainty about how much time he’d have).

My own suspicion is that this was a terrorist attack masquerading as a mass shooting.
I can’t prove it and I don’t think we will ever know for sure.
But the Authorities have already been caught fudging the truth on too many issues.
You don’t have the ability to comprehend the term “gone bad” as in “FBI sting gone bad?” Of course you do, so you falsely reframe what was said. Hey, good enough for government work.
It is so hard to make sense out of the YouTube videos. They seem so raw and real, and I was watching vids on twitter within minutes of the attack. We were up and heard about it and boom, so these on YouTube have the sense of that real stuff we were seeing at 11 pm that Sunday night, butnthey could have been doctored too.... The under the bleachers one is VERY convincing that there are two very different sounding weapons, and I’d sure like to hear an expert explain it. And see such a compiler place that particular video into a timeline. (By the way, I’m calling the under the bleachers video a video but honestly there is nothing to see; it’s basically an audio)
MGM has the most to lose wonder how many fingers they have in the works?do they fear the new name will be GONE?.

The massive logistics required to pull this well planned evil, murder/slaughter off. This was no maniac in action. This was an act that required time, energy, high intelligence, planning step by step and finally timely execution.
The mere fact that Paddock was in a very large suite itself presents many logistical, movement problems for one individual pulling this slaughter off and then shooting at aircraft jet fuel tanks in a different location. Just food for thought. IMHO...this nutcase America Hater had to have help and assistance to pull this evil caper off. We shall wait and see.....
