They totally have bearing on your claim that the “Middle class is very narrow.” You used quintile average federal income tax paid to make it look like there are just a few people between those who pay no income tax at all and those who pay a whole lot of income tax.
What I didn’t point out then, but I will offer further here is that the top quintile number is itself misleading, because it averages the dollars from those who pay a huge amount with those who pay substantially less (e.g., are in just the 80 to 90 or 95% range).
And, yes, those numbers do have bearing on the correct view that the middle class is particularly tax burdened—which is why they are most likely to get relief in the individual cuts.
Levin claims the “rich” threshold Trump is speaking of is about $250 to $300K. Any truth in that?
If so, to hell with Trump as well.

Every small business I ever worked for was incorporated. And if Joe is making over 250K annual net profit on his flower stand and he’s not incorporated he should be. Incorporation protects your private assets from lawsuits against your business.

The truly rich pay no taxes, they make the rules. Congress follows those rules.
