I don’t think Rosenstein is in the same league as the other two. Trump refused his resignation and he and Sessions appointed him to this position - why would they do that? Were the uninformed, stupid, or what? Or could they be engaged in a longer game than the one Roger Stone can see?
All true but what will be done about it ? Nothing that’s what.
If firing Mueller would cause a huge mess, how about an end run around him?
Have Sessions appoint Special Counsel Larry Klayman to investigate the Hillary scandals, Comey and deep state leaks, Awan espionage and Seth Rich murder. Give him broad leeway to investigate deep state conspiracies against the President, which are attacks on our Constitution, and those will lead to an investigation of the Mueller/Comey axis and the Mueller investigation itself. Check mate!
RosenKrantz needs to be fired ASAP.
Total collusion is he.
Trump nominated Rosenstein for deputy AG, the Senate confirmed. Sessions had nothing to do with it.
If Trump truly wanted a change in Washington, he would literally have to have fired thousands of assistant or deputy directors, across all agencies and departments at the GS 14-15 level. He might focus more on highly political and activist agencies such as DOJ, FBI, CIA, HHS.
I believe he has missed the opportunity.
If he believes our government bureaucracy is politically neutral or its simply a few Obama holdovers opposed to him, he is very wrong.
Mueller is not liked and he is viewed as a Clinton partisan with an agenda to get the president. Mueller's legal staff is way out of balance. They appear to be his silent personal assassination team.
Cormey made clear in his testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, the investigation was a counterintelligence investigation, not a criminal investigation.
Rosenstein's authorization to Mueller quotes Comey, "The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Corney in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017..." https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/967231/download
28 CFR 600.1 governs special-counsel appointments by the Justice Department. The relevant part: The Attorney General, or in cases in which the Attorney General is recused, the Acting Attorney General, will appoint a Special Counsel when he or she determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted (emphasis added)
A special counsel is not to be appointed unless and until it is determined that there are grounds for a criminal investigation. Only if that is established does the Justice Department move on to the question whether there is a conflict of interest which requires appointment of a special council.
So - Rosenstein's appointment of Mueller was and is improper.
Also noteworthy is 28 CFR 45.2, titled, Disqualification arising from personal or political relationship. The relevant part states: No employee shall participate in a criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with: (1) Any person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution... (emphasis added).
Sessions need not have recused himself, there was no criminal investigation.
Read this article: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/449849/sessions-trump-following-federal-regulations-could-have-avoided-mess which I've paraphrased here.
This country is in deep, deep trouble. If President Trump survives all of the assaults on him it will be a miracle. Sessions really has to appoint a special prosecutor to go after the Clintons and all of their related criminals and fight fire with fire. Get Joe Degenova,Jay Sekulow or Tom Fitton on their backs.
I disagree with you about Rosenstein, l think he should go now. He’s the one that gave Mueller a blank check, and no limits as long as it was directed at Trump or anything he’s connected to including 10 year old apartment rentals. He could fire Rosenstein and get someone in there that can get Mueller under control. Not accepting Rosenstein’s resignation is probably the biggest mistake Trump had made in hindsight.
Rosenstein Is “The Snake” Trump about on the campaign trail. This thing is despicable. Unlimited resources and zero guidelines for Herr Mueller. Man do I hate this piece of Washington garbage.
“So-Rosenstein’s appointment of Mueller was and is improper.”
Yet here we are and nothing is going to be done about it. It’s all pretty demoralizing. I think all this inaction against the coup is why Trump’s is starting to slip in a serious way because we who put him in are being taken
down too.
Not accepting Rosenstein’s resignation is a huge mistake. It would be interesting to know who (if anyone) advised it.
Recall that Rosenstein recommended Comey be fired. I think this was carefully planned theater. The Russia Narrative was losing steam and they needed to create an ongoing aura of wrongdoing. Comey could not appoint a special council, Rosenstein could. Getting Comey fired would feed the “obstruction” sub-narrative of the Russia Narrative and would create the optics needed to bull through the appointment of a special council. It worked. Rosenstein picked Mueller, with whom Comey has coordinated his Congressional testimony.
The history of these three together, the blatant collusion of Mueller and Comey, the improper appointment of a special council, Mueller’s investigation of things far outside the scope of Rosenstein’s improperly created special council, Mueller staffing up with Democrat bundlers and Clinton Foundation lawyers....
This is disgusting. Mueller and Rosenstein have ZERO credibility.
Totally gross Deep State association.
RosenKrantz is a snake, if not a weasel like Comey....
A link to that?
Right, so step 1 fire the Rat mole Rosenstein. just do it and do it now. Why can’t they see this?
