Good for a year, IIRC.
Separately, some of the people currently holding "acting" positions will be timed out shortly, leaving the positions filled but with a question about the legal validity of any actions they take.

More than enough time to get rid of Mueller.

>Isn’t it much more fun to try to figure out what President Trump is up to, than to try to tell him what to do?

You have spoken directly to my heart. I LOVE watching him suddenly emerge after all the submarine warfare. Of course, it’s scary as anything wondering what’s going on beneath the water, but we can handle that.

Enough with the “chess” stuff. It had a good run, but it doesn’t explain anything.

Both Trump and Sessions have smirks on their faces everytime anyone asks about their disputes

Trump learned media manipulation from the WWF

Mueller will never be fired, but the impending indictments of close friends and associates will simultaneously expose the Russia thing as a Democrat set up and force Mueller and his entire team to recuse themselves

-- There's a female, I can't recall her name ... --

Rachael Brand. Former Bush official Rachel Brand takes over No. 3 position at Justice Dept. <- Linkee

She went on to clerk for Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Associate Justice Charles Fried and then Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. ...

... when Bush became president, White House counsel Alberto R. Gonzales hired Brand to work for him.

President Barack Obama appointed Brand in 2012 to be a member of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, an independent, bipartisan agency within the White House that advised the president on the privacy and civil liberties implications of the government's surveillance programs.

Not saying she wouldn't be better at the helm than Rosenstein, just figure some background is useful. More at the link

Anybody who is put in as "acting," and there are hundreds to pick from, has the same one year shelf life in the "acting" assignment.

Up to one year is good. Little squish Linda G. better confirm the next inline Trump AG pick. LoL. Personally I don't care if a loyal GS-15 is running the place. Plenty can do it. Do the job.

I have never heard of the Musical Chairs theory with Cabinet Officers. The theory here is that this can be done without Senate confirmation. I am not so sure of that. These individuals were confirmed for their Current positions and I believe, if the President wanted to move them to different Cabinet positions, they would require re-confirmation for the new position. If anybody out there can provide evidence to the contrary, I would appreciate seeing it.

Get rid of Priebus; Move Kelly into Chief of Staff; Move Sessions into HLS; Move Jay Sekulow into A.G.

Another option is without firing Mueller, but the next guy at AG could severely curtail what Mueller can investigate. Put a confining enclosed fence around that guy. He’d probably quit! LoL.

-- Do the job. --

The position of AG, no matter who holds it, is inherently conflicted in a case involving the president or his political campaigns.

A replacement will be tarred, no matter what, with having been chosen because they are biased against Hillary, and biased in favor of Trump and his campaign.

The best way to get Mueller out is on the merits.

He wouldn’t even have to fire or formally curtail Mueller’s activities. All a new AG would need to do to put pressure on Mueller and his staff would be to write periodic public letter to him demanding that he publicly justify his activities, his hirings, his money-spending, as well as all the leaks that are coming out of his operation. The AG has every right under the special counsel law to require such public disclosure and exercise stringent oversight on hirings and budgetary matters. Rosenstein has steadfastly refused to exercise any oversight at all, and we have yet another completely out of control special counsel as a result.

There is no reason why this situation should be allowed to fester for months and years. But this is a situation Sessions created with his recusal.

That very 4D scenario could be happening now at a slow cook the frog pace.

-- Under Senate rules, all it would then take to keep the Senate in session would be for two senators to show up periodically to gavel the chamber in and gavel it back out. --

There is a reason that process works, and the reason is not that a few Senators "go rogue," as your post suggests. The senate cannot be in session without a quorum. The senate creates a legal fiction quorum with unanimous consent.

Vacancies Act. Moves are good for a year.

You can move people around in cabinet positions once they’re confirmed? that would be a brilliant idea

Vacancies Act. Each “acting” official has a one year shelf life. No need for recess appt’t. Recess Appt’t has a different (variable) shelf life, too.
