A lock blade knife can be very effective. A Swiss Army knife, not so much

Typically a Spyderco Delica, for going on 2 decades.

Cold Steel Vaquero. Not exactly legal but never had any trouble carrying it in my jeans back pocket. I would claim it is needed in my work with horses, for cutting tangled ropes or a rider out of a stirrup if bucked off. Plus this is Texas, police have a lot more important things to worry about.

I used to carry a spyderco endura 4, but kept breaking the clips.
retired it.
I just carry a swiss army knife now. haha
Thinking about getting a cold steel espada though.
To: dblshot
Vaquero is legal in Texas. Over 5.5 inches is not
To: BBB333
Likewise, but the lock mechanisms are now broken on three of ours.
The little blocking portion just decides to work itself right out.

Lock blades can fold up on your hand if they are twisted while being used. Been there, done that.

That’s good to know. I guess the Grand Vaquero is not.

Cold Steel Vaquero Grande: don't leave home without it. Big as it is, it fits entirely into the right pants pocket on its clip, and appears like any other folder. The mass of the blade allows it to fling open upon the draw.

Case Trapper. Not a defensive knife, but a good one. Sometimes a large Case Stockman.

That’s my EDC. In FL, CCW is not only firearms, but all manner of concealable weapons, including swords etc.
