In that sense, she’s prison-ready. And that’s a good thing, because she’ll be there for quite a while.
No, you’ve got a local reporter with zero experience in national security/intelligence matters (other than being an Army brat, according to her bio). The parents are following Winner’s instructions to make her appear more sympathetic in the media, and the locals just lap it up, with no push-back or questioning.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, the feds have a slam dunk case, and the details released at yesterday’s arraignment are even more damning. Winner’s best hope is to accept whatever plea deal the government is willing to offer—and based on existing guidance from POTUS and AG Sessions, it won’t be very good. Or she can go Full Manning and claim that she’s a male trapped in a woman’s body and hope a Democrat returns to the Oval Office before she completes her sentence.
Winner was too busy pledging allegiance to the Taliban to understand she had it made. Graduated from linguist program at DLI (no easy feat); got experience at NSA and had a TS/SCI. Knocking down over $100,000 a year without a college degree. With minimal effort, she could have gone back to school, earned a bachelor’s, then jumped into the GS/GG ranks at NSA Georgia. She’d probably start as a GG-13, and take a slight pay cut, but with guaranteed job security and the ability to easily reach GS-15 during her career. Retire with an outstanding pension, lots of money in the bank and plenty of time to support her favorite far-left causes.
I’m sure Winner envisions herself as some sort of celebrity with a book deal and movie after prison. But beyond that, her job prospects will involve fast food and the minimum wage.
Good analysis.
Just need to check their social media posts...so easy a caveman can do it.
They defended Begdahl didn’t they by saying he served honorably...
She’s not just crazy, she’s completely delusional. How do people like this get into the military?
Yes, they will defend just about any deviant behavior and any excuse to subvert the laws demands.
