A22. A Series. $281 MSRP.
Are you a bot?
I agree that a .22 LR is a must in any collection; and even if one were limited to having only one firearm the .22 LR would be a pretty good choice. It is very versatile, and very inexpensive to shoot.
,22 Smith revolver is close and handy when needed (armadillos.)
Marlin 39A Golden Mountie does the job for distance.
My dog catches his own squirrels. But he always spits them right back out.
How many people here own a 410 shotgun?
I got tired of missing squirrels with my 22. They are no longer messing up my attic since I got the 410.
If they stay away from my house they are fine, but they do too much damage to let them get inside.
So anyway... The 410 is way too much fun, and the Rossi Circuit Judge REVOLVER SHOTGUN (kewl!) is nice. Plus it shoots 45 cal bullets too.
The first .22 rifle you purchase should be a Ruger 10/22, the most ubiquitous 10/22 on the market with head and shoulders more aftermarket support. Easy to find magazines, replacement stocks, triggers, barrels, and other accessories.
Once that box is checked, then you can go after other rifles to fill out your collection.
My father taught me to shoot with a .22. It was a J.C. Higgans, from Sears, Model 36. 17 round tube fed semi auto. I think Hi Power made it. A gunsmith told me years ago not to ever get rid of it as it was one of the good ones Sears sold.
It’s the most valuable gun in my collection. She now has a 3x9 scope and still shoots just fine. Shot a marmot last week and have a beautiful Red Fox mountain man style hat she helped me get a few years ago.
I think I’ll take her out to my backyard range later on today.
Ruger 10-22.
Every house in America should have at least one.
L
Ruger 10/22 there is no substitute.
Nailed a Copperhead with one shot from my Henry Golden Boy. I think I severed his spine right at the base of the skull - didn’t even twitch.
Not a good candidate for a scope, but really sharpens your shooting skills without one.
Your mentor should have told you NOT to fire a rifle into the air (treed squirrel). Your first two bullets landed somewhere you didn’t aim. Even a 22 is dangerous when landing. Shooting up is a job for a shotgun, or at least snake shot.
Get an old-timey boy’s .22 in bolt action—and then LEARN HOW TO SHOOT.
As in ACTUALLY HIT STUFF.
Neighbors, family, friends—you don’t find ‘em in gun stores as there’s no $$$$$$$$$ in them.
(Nothing is WRONG with the Ruger..................)
Absolutely!
How the hell did you expect him to slaughter your entire family while you slept??
Kewl and illegal in California.
I moved.
You're a bot.
A pro-tyranny Christ-hating bot.
Remington Nylon 66 and a Marlin model 60 for me. Love ‘em both.
