Hi, pleased to meet you. I am an educator in America who is very conservative, voted for Trump, and stand with hand over heart and recite the pledge of allegiance every morning at school. Oh, and occasionally, every Wednesday, myself and a few teachers have prayer in the hallway before school starts. Yes, there are a large majority of the educators in public schools who are liberal to the core. However, there are educators like myself who see it as our mission to create change from within and spread our conservative Christian values. Just think where we would be without the few right thinking educators that we have. So please, don’t rip us to shreds with the idiots, but help us in encouraging other conservative Christian young people to enter education. Only by increasing our numbers can we change education in our country for the better.
There should be no politicking in the classroom by either side, though we all know that libs will be the ones mostly affected by that. Just teach reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Well, I’m a teacher here in L.A. too, and here’s the thing: Sometimes the kids ask you for your opinion. Your options are to lie, to tell them you’d rather not say, (which makes them suspect the worst), or say it as carefully as you can.
I worked in a ghetto school long enough to identify the pathologies present there, both in the students and the teachers.
One teacher, I found out, was a FReeper, but upon investigation she was a “go along to get along” type just looking towards retirement.
I will not name her, but she was part of the problem.

I know there are “go along to get along” types in this world not just in education. It is easy to fall in to that trap especially since conservatives are hated and despised in most education circles. The only way I see to combat this is to have more conservative enter education and to have more Presidents like Trump appoint people like Devos(sp?) to change the system from the top and the bottom at the same time. I think, as conservatives, se have done a disservice to our children by abandoning education to the wacko leftist.
