I think not. Genesis 6:3 “Then the LORD said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.’”

It WAS the norm. Past tense.
Genesis 6:3 "Then the LORD said, 'My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.'"

I don’t believe in a world-wide canopy in Genesis, but yep, something significant changed in the environment. For one, radiation from the Vela Supernova about 40,000 years ago got to Earth.

The man’s delusional.
Even Methuselah only made it to 969 and he was the First Circuit Court Judge.

You could still be a democrat in the House or Senate. :-)

I told my mom that some day people would live to be 200. Her reply was “Who wants to be a little old lady for 130 years?”
Stolen from an old Jack Benny/George Burns/Red Skelton/Henny Youngman type joke.

But five thousand years from now, I think immortality will be the new normal. The Bible might diverge from that opinion.

The Borg is a group mind....like progs, today.
I know people with esophagus transplants grown on sterile cartilage, people with joint replacements, people with grafted arteries. They are no where near to The Borg. I doubt the biomech arms, the implanted biomech hearts, the development of pancreas replacements or implanted artificial kidneys are or will be Borg, either.
