We may never know.

It may be that Hanlon’s Razor applies (”Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”)

Could just be that someone asked: “What’s should I do with this laptop Paul Combetta Fedexed us?” And the answer was, “I dunno, give it to Huma.”

And it ended up in a closet at the Weiner’s until the FBI came to search.

All of this is gross speculation of course.
