I recently saw a graph showing the "unwed mother rate" at various times in our recent history.The rate for 1960 was something like 2%.So even if the rate for blacks was twice what it was for whites (unlikely there was that much of a difference) their rate might have been 3%.

Actually, by the time sociologist and U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan published his study of the black family in 1965, the illegitimacy rate for black mothers was around 25%, a figure which, he predicted, signaled an inexorable trend towards the collapse of the black family and a future of black males abandoning the role of father. Not only have his predictions come true, but now the white rate of illegitimacy exceeds 25%. Today family collapse across all demographics is not only resulting from the crutch of aggressive socialism, but also from increasing homosexualist and "genderless" political ideologies.
