Something neither the establishment, the media, and many people never realized was that there never was a hierarchical Tea Party organization. It was the reason it was such a success.
Hierarchical organizations, government, political, business, ngo, etc. *cannot* interface with non-hierarchical groups.
Thus they cannot control, subvert, corrupt, threaten or even influence them. They cannot wheel and deal with its leaders, because it has none. They cannot even *describe* it.
So what happened to the Tea Party? It is still there, but it is invisible. If Mr. Trump can carry out a purge of the RINOs, corporatists, GOP-e, and other Republican liberals and internationalists from the Republican party, it will be the ultimate Tea Party victory.
Likewise, if Mr. Trump and slash the size, power, and expense of government, it will be a huge Tea Party victory.
I suggest reviewing CNBC’s Rick Santelli’s rants from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, since it was he that coined the term Tea Party in the current context. He ranted about bank bailouts, the moral hazard of paying people out of their defaulted mortgages, and Bernanke and the Federal Reserve among other things. Nothing has changed except it is all now much worse.
-—Santelli concluded by reading a quotation from Thomas Jefferson, I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves without a master. I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country. I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.-— See http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/02/19/santelli-remembers-famous-tea-party-rant-6-years-later/
We hang on by a thread in Buffalo.
The national groups sucked all the money and the oxygen out of the room.
I/we will keep fighting.
