Last night, after the convention, I listened to some of Michael Savage as I was driving around doing some late-night shopping.

Savage said something like this: Bernie is a clown, set up by Hillary and the DNC to make Hillary appear more like a centrist. But the clown-act backfired when it turned out that there are a huge number of clown-followers in America and Bernie the Clown became Bernie the Movement.

Be of good cheer. The Left is dead. All that remains is to bury it in the foulest dung heap. The stench of hillary fouls the air and pollutes the waters. Her rottenness has salted the earth around her such that nothing will grow.
The wicked witch is dead. Celebrate. Let her bones molder in a grave that commemorates the death of corruption.

The crybaby socialist children are spanked by the adults. It takes a totalitarian to raze the village idiots.

Did this guy see Bernie at all? It sounds like it was written before the convention. The few noises here get drowned out completely:

FrontPage used to be called Ramparts. Not exactly great journalism.

We can pretend that there isn’t Democrat unity all we want, but the fact remains that Bernie showed the sort of loyalty to process that Ted Cruz couldn’t muster.

I would say that one-third of the people who voted for Bernie....can’t go and vote for Hillary. They will either stay home or vote Trump.

So, in swing-states....those half-million that voted Bernie...at least 150,000 of those votes won’t be there in the fall for Hillary. They are lost votes.

If you had told me three years ago that this was a primary between just Hillary and Bernie....I would have been laughing because I just can’t see the public getting hyped up over Bernie. Well...I was wrong. They did get hyped up and believed in his message. If she’d drafted Bernie as the VP....it might have saved her campaign. But she can hang it up now....at best....she will carry 45-percent of the vote.

I agree. Celebrating the death of the left is way too premature.

Bernie didn't join them as much as he was absorbed by them. I wouldn't bet against a "If you want to keep your senator's job you better fall in line" moment in Bernie's life. Surely, they could come up with something to make this guy go peacefully into that good night if they wanted to. Bernie's going to just reluctantly toe the line till the day he gets buried in the Potter's Field of forgotten Marxist wannabes.

Great article. Boy, did he ever capture the left perfectly there. They are the “Great Unhinged Masses”.

City Hall was never the tallest building in the world. It was the tallest building in Philadelphia by law until the 1980s.

That would have lowered her overall support in the country. A grandma and a bat-shit cray grandpa?

I find it hilarious that the former Ramparts is printing Daniel Greenfield. I give them survival props for that.

And I don’t see this as a call that the Left is dead. The left will not die until a stake is driven through its heart, and long as the allure of socialism, nanny-statism/statism, and utopianism is alive, they will live. And those things aren’t going to die, because they are timeless. So anyone who proclaims the Left is dead is crazy.

Also, I don’t see this as being primarily about Democratic unity. There is no doubt the Left is composed of ideologues and Useful Idiots (The Useful Idiots and the Idiots making up about 2/3 of the Left, in my calculus) who can band together when they need to, even if they say they won’t. They like to think they are ideologically pure, but they aren’t. They are only ideologues drinking the kool-aid of the day, which is/was Bernie Sanders. They are, I think different from many of the NeverTrumpers, who may or may not be more or less ideologically pure, but are more stubborn.

In my opinion, this was more about what he alluded to in the last few paragraphs...the corruptness of the Leftist ideology, and at the end, it is just soggy signs and broken hearts. But they each get a vote, and most of them are going to vote ideology not a candidate.

LOL, we need someone to post the “Your Tears are Delicious” graphic, though!

"..The Democratic convention was underway.."

Just the thought of these vile, "humans", desecrating those historic sites is a revolting thought. d;^)

One of my sisters (not the one you met) was a big Bernie fan. Last night we were chatting, and she was so appalled by the whole wikileaks thing, Debbie-Do-Wrong, and Hitlery, that she actually ADMITTED that Donald was correct when he said that the primaries were “rigged”.

I was very gentle and conciliatory, and it seemed to go a long way towards getting her to vote “R” for the first time in her wacky commie liberal life.

The TRUTH will set you free.

Great Analogy!

I understand now why the Lord sent me back to Massachusetts after 17 idyllic years in the South.

I have work to do! Please pray for me! :-)
