He had a gun and was fighting and resisting arrest. However, he was unable to kill a policeman, so there are going to be riots.
As someone who has been involved in close combat, which is what this was.........it looks justified to me. He had a weapon and was going for it, you don’t wait for him to actually yield the weapon at you. You end the combat as soon as you can.
Cops will get a paid vacation and then be let off scott free for this murder.
After listening to the local NAACP president scream, I wonder how loud he screams every weekend when blacks kill blacks, whites, hispanics? Black Lives Matter is nothing more than an anti cop group pissed off that so many black men get arrested, not at all worried about their extreme crime rate that causes those arrests. I hate this for the cops!
To the best of your ability (I know it’s difficult to see), focus on the man’s right arm. He was clearly reaching for his pocket while he was on the ground. The cops told him to stop, and he continued. Does he have to get a shot off before the cops are allowed to respond?
It may have been a bad arrest but if blacks are going to play the racist card it is going to further divide this country.
It becomes increasingly clear, many of our cops are trained to quickly kill people, rather than take the slightest risk to themselves.
And it is not just blacks.
Thing is, we can’t see the thugs hands.
That is key.
The bad apples put targets on the good cops’ backs.
As I have said in the past, unless you are a police officer or have watched HUNDREDS of episodes of “COPS”, you are uninformed.
The police are trained in procedures. They aren’t going to argue with you all day if you don’t follow their commands.
Wud I do? Wud I do? It doesn’t matter, they have their reasons, just do what they say, argue about it later if you are still alive.
He was down with 2 cops on him. Actually, that’s not quite accurate. The policed want you FACE DOWN. They want, DEMAND, control of your hands preferably handcuffed behind your BACK. Until this is accomplished they don’t feel safe.
He was face UP, they did NOT have control of his hands. He was bigger than the two of them put together, He never stopped resisting, HE HAD A GUN.
Add all that up and you are a dead man.
The one video that I saw looked like an execution, pure and simple. That being said, the deceased should not have struggled with the cops. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

These things don't need to happen like this. I feel so bad watching what happened to Alton in that video and if I was there I would have told him to "please dude stop and fight it out in the court system."
Still, the fact remains, that cops can legally kill people, so they MUST be accountable for EVERY time they fire a weapon. Much more so than a non-police/citizen.
