I’m sure FC Barcelona is happy about Messi’s decision, you know all of these teams that invest millions in these players watch with gritted teeth every time their players play for their national teams.
Spain shirts look like they been shot in the chest.
Looks like Germany will have a date with their Kryptonite, Italy.
I think they will burn those shirts afterwards.
Italy will win! Congrats
And congrats to Spain for their tenure as Euro Champs.
Should be a good match, Germany vs. Italy.
Now, a new manager for Spain? He’s been there about 5 years or so.
Not great.
Spain may have an uphill battle to qualify for the WC, it’s definitely a time of transition for them.

Those Tiki-Taki Champions for Spain though were really on the boring side for me. It’s almost hard to see how they were able to win so much. Tiki Taki to me, seemed to be a lot of passing. When they were at their zenith, everyone talked about how great they were.
Italy was an afterthought going into the tournament, now they may be the favorites.
Spain had a poor World Cup in 2014; and they lost a match in the group stage this time. So, obviously, they need something.
They looked liked they were back more or less when they won that one match 3-0 over Ireland.
Tiki-Taki only works when you have finishers, which Spain doesn’t have now.
If Conte can do that with Chelsea, you might pencil them in now for next year’s Premier League champsions.
I've already heard similar said.
This was a heated match; I think the most emotional match yet. That one goal really sealed Spain's fate.
The commentator referred to Chiellini, besides scoring the great important goal, also using some of the dark arts meaning rolling around on the ground. That’s what I always dislike about Italy. They have that style too much too. It’s rather unsporting to me. One can enumerate on things they’ve done. I don’t like to be anti-Azzurri but they’ve done such things a lot.
