The NRA leadership had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to where they are today, by the membership.
GOA is a significant part of what pushed the NRA to becoming pro-active instead of fighting continual rear-guard actions.
I support the NRA. They have come a long ways. But they had to be dragged there by the membership.
There is 100 MILLION hunters in the USA. There is no way they could all be covered in one operation. What are they going to do with the ones who resist? Old war vets are a particularly ornery group when it comes to taking their firearms away from them.
If our overlords start to suggest that they are going to demand that we must surrender our firearms, a single bullet through the front doors of their offices, the side window of their cars and/or the front doors of their homes will change the subject of discussion around their dinner table that evening.
Their wives will tell them to back off and stop endangering the family security in no uncertain terms.
May I suggest possible targets? Any elected or appointed official. Do not aim for uniformed personnel unless they are the leader of the group.
