Ted Cruz is living in an alternate universe where he’s won a whole bunch of primaries and is clearly the front-runner, on the fast track to the nomination.
That’s the only explanation for this craziness.
He sounds like a televangelist ... Benny Hinn comes to mind.

It is like he thinks it’s still last December and he has a chance to be the nominee.
Cruz is really going for the “women vote” thing. Thinks he can play identity politics against Trump. Atleast Trump treats women equally as he does all other opponents. Cruz is doing what a typical career politician would do in this case. Overthinking the matter, picking stereotypical demographics to stand behind him, playing identity politics, and he just picked a California VP to strengthen his hand in the primary. No thought went into a General Election on this one...
I don’t think Cruz gets to pick his VP in a contested convention.

Barbara Boxer: 52.2%
Carly Fiorina: 42.2%
Mind you, this was when Boxer was pretty much hated in the state. Utterly botched the campaign. She went from being within margin of error a week before the election to losing it by ten points due to a series of gaffs.
So no, she brings nothing more than toxic memories for the campaign in California, and if that was somehow the goal in making this VASTLY hubris and premature announcement, well, would have been smarter for him to pick up the phone and call the California GOP and have them select delegates at a convention rather than putting it before the voters.
I live in SoCal, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE likes Carly Fiorina here, this does NOT help Cruz in the California primary, which is why I think he chose her, to help him win this state, it won’t help she is despised here

If the GOPe hands the nomination to Cruz over Trump and Hillary goes on to win the election, the republican party is history...
If trump wins the nomination and Hillary was to beat Trump in the general election, it will show the American people just corrupt our election and voting process has become...
