that Christianity may actually be our best defense against aberrant forms of religion that threaten the world.
That includes atheism.
To: Shery
Sheesh! Pigs must be flying! Dawkins must be crying like a little girl at the realization that Christianity might actually be the bulwark that allows the world to withstand the evils of the radical Islamists.

Seems the God-slayer now recognizes the need to have Christians on the front line to protect his desire to defame the Lord they serve.
The irony is luscious ...

Just proves that, you may not like guns, and you may not believe in God, but someday, you just might find yourself calling someone with a gun, and praying they get there on time.

Professional Atheist Dawkins Says Christianity a Bulwark Against Something Worse Someone who is starting to wake the f*** up.
Christianity is civilization. You can't have one with out it, or something very similar to it.

This is a start. Dawkins is starting to realize how black the world would be without Judeo-Christian morality. He might have come to this realization earlier if he had read more history or had a better appreciation of non-Western cultures, but better late than never. If he lives long enough, he may work his way to faith. He would not be the first.

Dawkins wondered aloud whether Christianity might indeed offer an antidote to protect western civilization against jihad. An antidote? What an interesting word.
What do antidotes do? Save lives, anyone?
Does the world need to be...ahem....saved?

Dawkins knows that when Islamic terror is ingrained into US culture then Atheism will be the first on the terrorists hit lists.

Wow. In the past few weeks I’ve read this, read liberals on other forums worry about encroaching 3rd world misogeny, and saw liberals suggesting not everyone needs to live in the US. The world must be going insane... or something.
To: Shery
He is not the first atheist who has admitted this.

Amazing - Dawkins is just steps away.
So he is almost saying - God gave us his Son, and the church he established, to protect humankind from satan and forces of evil and guide people towards goodness?
I am convinced he will give up atheism in a very short time. This prodigal son will return soon.

I hope it isn’t just a rumor, like when Madonna allegedly joined Opus Dei.
