"The Church outside the New Testament used the Inquisition against sinners and dissenters, whom she called "heretics." Most of these "heretics" were Protestants who believed in the Bible in a way disapproved by the Catholic Church."Actually, most of them weren't. Honestly, it doesn't take a genius to realize that there were hardly any Protestants in the country(s) that the Inquisition(s) operated in! The Inquisition dealt primarily with crypto-Islamists/Jews and shabby Catholics.
Without having read beyond that point in the article, it causes me to wonder what else might be blatantly wrong.

Could be. For the love of Pete that’s all we need.

No TRUE Christian would subscribe to this, but I’m sure a lot of CINO’s would.

Folks, People for the American Way (PFAW), by their Right Wing Watch, has attacked me many times. They quote me correctly by publishing my comments. But their interpretation is biased. Yet, in Shoebatâs case, even a biased interpretation is not enough to make his absurd pro-Inquisition comments worse than they already are. With such comments, PFAW had no need to add an interpretation. Shoebatâs comments are an indictment against himself. I hope he may repent.

I would still like to see the original from Ted with respect to the allegations by APFW/RWW.
The article by Ted you linked in the OP with respect to Islam as a “form of Protestantism” is explicit in explaining that it is not itself an attack on the Protestant denominations. It is also in the context of James White acting as an apologist for Islamism.
As for the Inquisition office itself, you are aware that today it is called the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, correct?
