I don’t much care about why a scorpion stings - the knowledge that it does and that squashing it is the best way to insure its ability to hurt me is lessened is enough.
Not to mention the inbreeding, stunted IQ’s, illiteracy, and have you ever had Persian food? It’s either totally bland, or they have a delicacy that tastes like wet garbage.
