And this study is about as meaningful as saying the 50 most violent cities in the world are mostly Hispanic. You think just maybe this guy doesn’t like Catholics?
Catholic in name only, maybe. Do you seriously think that committed Catholics are involved in drug trading and murder?
So, the common factor of socialism has nothing to do with it....
Detroit is tropical?
I said MOSTLY.
Check the list again and it will show I’m correct.
I also notice that African cities don't make your list, which is also something you might want to look into further. From the information that is provided it looks like murder is associated with the Americas or the New World, rather than, say, Europe. For all their Catholics, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, and Spain don't seem to have high murder rates -- at least not compared to other parts of the globe.
Gee...I don’t see any Iraqi or Syrian cities on that list?
Oh look. Another dirtbag compiled list where honor killings and stoning of rape victims isn’t considered murder.
Madness in the methodology.
The hatred of Catholicism runs deep with some evangelicals. I'd say, yes, this guy thinks committed Catholics are involved in such things.
As someone who was born and raised a Catholic; I find this to be quite depressing.
Shouldn’t Raqqa be #1?
I'm not bashing Catholicism only. The Protestant South is rife with divorce and remarriage, so we have our own problems.
An interesting observation I made while working on my economics degree. Not a study but an observation, see what you think.
Almost no countries that are predominantly Catholic ever come close to recognizing their economic potential or providing a decent standard of living for the working class.
Frequently the structure is a wealthy elite and then poverty. Many of what are considered 3rd world countries(excluding those of Africa) are Catholic. The poverty is probably what contributes to the violence.
Search Google for 20 most dangerous cities of the world, all but 2(new Orleans, Detroit) are in central and south America.
Go through your mind and think of all the Catholic countries you can and you will see the pattern.
I am sorry but you must be really dumb to think anyone would be happy about this. I said it was interesting and it is, in a very, very sad way.
Gee, your description sounds a lot like Obama’s America - rich, corrupt upperclass and people out of work. Of course, as an English Literature major prior to 1980, I believe America is and was a Protestant nation. I used to think that wasn’t a bad thing...
I said it was very sad and that is what I meant. People claim to live for Christ but seem to worship the devil. Don’t you find that sad?
How true that is. Just look at Northern Island throughout history. Although I have no proof of this; from what have gathered over the years; one of the big problems is the infiltration of the catholic church by the left. JMHO
Protestant nations tend to rebound from setbacks, Catholics not so much. I did a study on the history of coffee, which led to a study on Brazil, because at one time it controlled 80% of the coffee market. With all its land and natural resources there is no reason it should be one of the world’s wealthiest nations and an economic powerhouse.
But it is still considered a developing country...it is the B in BRIC countries...brazil Russia india china
