Can’t speak it? Hell, we can’t even read it due to the Invasion of the Strange Symbols whenever something gets posted these days.
You’ve reminded me I have a ham bone that has meat on it in the freezer. Soon as the weather gets colder, it’ll be time for soup! This week Aldi has bone-in turkey breast on sale, so gotta score one tomorrow...
Jus sittin ou hear on da stoop, min’in’ my own bi’ness
...and now I’m hungry!
Best. Pork. Sangwitches. Ever.
I know, right? mmmm
That stuff is the best, melts in your mouth.
Worth the price if you can get authentic stuff.
Bingo!
I have a lot of Spanish-speaking friends from different countries and social classes. Sometimes one from an “off the farm” background will use a term that makes the higher-class ladies gasp, “My mother would have slapped me if I said that!”
Very interesting. I went to French Canadian parochial elementary school in Massachusetts and had French half the day from 3rd to 7th grade. I later placed into 4th year college French and had no trouble with it, but noticed some of my vocabulary was antiquated and some words I had to relearn to pronounce in Standard French.
I have always loved languages and recently discovered that Old Norse has a heck of a lot more to do with English than I ever realized. Neat language to study.
There definitely is.. I’ve heard a lot of people say gabagool there. I’m not a fan since it’s too spicy for me. The one that cracked me up every time I heard it was when someone ordered a focaccia.. some called it foogats.
Thanks!
Back in the day the primary motive to watch Pepin was that I was inordinately attracted to his daughter.
As in I though she was super hot, and was utterly powerless to resist. It might have been the big teeth.
It was weird. Every so often I will see a female who just strikes a chord. She was one of them.
As for Claudine... I hear you. I think what is attractive about her is her girl-next-door look... there is a sparkle in her eyes, too. Plus, who can not like a "Daddy's girl"?
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a strong bad video!
Quite randomly... when I was looking for Fwhwgads, I saw they released a 2015 Halloween cartoon. I got a lot of enjoyment out of the Homestarrunner website back 15 years ago.
