My son is driving one of these (not as nice as this one, tho). Quite a resemblance.

That is interesting. I ended up on a ‘72 BMW R60/5. Of course this was well before the Internet (duh) but I somehow came across a photo of Pakistani police, lined up about 20 abreast, but they were all on my exact motorcycle! I later learned that mine was indeed a police bike.

I helped move the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa Iowa several years ago. I was responsible for loading, securing and unloading several of these (and some Vincents). I think I sweat a gallon I was so nervous!

I guess you shouldn’t ride it at night.

If your first trip to the Barber Museum, you must plan a full day to be there - otherwise you will leave feeling you had to miss a lot. Two days is best. Then you can take your time.
Even my non-technical/non-mechanical/non-biker (she does love riding behind me) wife loved the museum because of so much unusual stuff.
I thought I knew a lot about motorcycles - until I went there. Wife asked me every 5 minutes, “What is that?” To which I had to reply, “I have no idea.....” The collection is mind-boggling. I’d say 1/4 of the bikes there I never knew existed. V-12? Yeah, Kawasaki made one. Year of first motorcycle? No. 1857. And so on......
Best way to go is with another biker friend - or two. I really want to go back.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Hmmm, my vet just bought a BMW R1200GS; he might be the guy.
