Well, apparently the Oregon murderer, Chris Harper-Mercer, was also a fan of the Islamic State

Interesting. I read someone else say that that was an ISIS flag on the table, but I couldn’t tell at the time. Now it does look like one AND there is proof of the purchase.
I wonder what the books are on that table.

He went by the user name Iron Cross, eh?
Wasn't Hitler's military insignia also called the Iron Cross?

Well, whattya know. It sure was.
Say, didn't Hitler also have ties to Islamists?

Well, hang it all. He did
The coincidences keep piling up. You know what? I'm starting to think maybe this guy was motivated by some religious and political ideology.

The posting says “ironcross45” is from Lehi, UT. Did the Oregon murderer live in UT at some time?

The white power guy?
The media said he was a white Nazi Republican...
To: FourPeas
I forget what the “45” stands for - but it stands for something. I’m guessing it is a common name for folks into the Nazi crap.

Deceptive, the myspace friend had the pictures of ISIS stuff. Also the buyer claims Utah as homestate here. Not sure this has been vetted very well.

I’m not saying it isn’t true, but just bear in mind, There have been several liberal web hoaxes involving stuff about this guy, gotta be careful.

Nah. It was the gun collection. His love for ISIS had nothing to do with it. Those guns made him kill.

Somebody posted the original photo and it’s just a pile of junk on the table.
*Or*, this is the original and the pile of junk was Photoshopped.
Who knows, anymore.

The original photo didn’t have the flaglike b&w thing on the table- the only thing on the table was a shaggy pile of what might have been a potted plant.
This image didn’t come out until much later.

This is a modified image- the earlier “purchase” did contain this buyer’s review but the purchase was Nazi memorabilia, not an ISIS flag.
IIRC he was buying a German officer’s hat, originally... looks like someone has been getting creative with that.

The Iron Cross was a military decoration established in Prussia in 1813 during the Napoleonic Wars. It was awarded until the end of WW II. Just because the Nazis used it doesn’t mean they invented it (which goes for lots of stuff attributed to the Nazis).

I was reamed pretty good on several sites for using a dubious website that stated that Mercer was an Isis fan--now true, and that his facebook was changed almost immediately after the shooting to Mercer as a conservative Republican--also true.
Other statements in the link I used which I won't repeat remain to be verified. The most important claim was that the ruskies FSB had given the US a terror list with Mercer's name on it and the regime refused to acknowledge it. Anyone with any confirmation of this please let me know.
