I can't help feeling that the liberal media's lionizing of Trump's campaign is intended to fracture the GOP.
You cant fracture something that already broken.
Damn straight Donald. Karl Rove’s board should read in all caps TRUMP IS RIGHT.
Well said! Trump is helping to sift the fractured pieces. The shakeout of the cowards, creeps and phonies is good for the party.
Whether I would support Trump for President is another matter, but I do support him as a party reformer.
The immigration debate, no matter how it is couched, is ALWAYS about amnesty.
That may normally be true.
Trump has different DNA, this time may be different.
A point to consider is Trump’s immigration message is spawned from his trade and jobs issues. Immigration became the issue that morphed into his sole platform but it is not just it. It has gotten him to the top of the heap. What could happen, is he could galvanize the large numbers of Tea Party types who were disenfranchised by the entrenched RINOs and the Obamabots at the IRS. Frankly, as his tone begins to rail against the “establishment” types whom he virtually calls corrupt crooks and pawns, he can do it. The immigration issue is one that will galvanize many across party lines IMO. If he can keep up the attention, he is a serious candidate. I think he will go down to the wire as a potential nominee.
Exactly. Trump is doing what every GOP candidate should be and that is speaking to the concerns and interests of the CITIZEN instead of the concerns of corporatist internationalists and one shouldn’t have to preface every comment about Muslims or illegals with caveats about how wonderful all other muslims and immigrants are. They don’t do that when they are casting Christians as homophobic bigots, they don’t do it when casting all whites as if they wear a scarlet letter of white privilege. Personally I want someone to fight back against the dishonest framing by the left and I’m sick and tired of the mealy mouthed submissive afraid of their own shadows GOP that manage to get defeated by the most disgusting evil group of anti-American socialist scum and if they don’t do something about securing the borders America is going to look a lot like California politically.
It’s true that a meteoric rise too early in the game makes one vulnerable to disappointment later on.
But I think (dare I say?) this time is different. Mr. Trump is tapping into decades of frustration and anger by most Americans in the lunacy of political correctness, the corruption of their government, of becoming a laughingstock of the world.
It’s been brewing for so long it will not go away in only a few months. Or not until we are once again the land of the free; the home of the brave.
And THAT will take a generation or two.
Which media, conservative or liberal, is lionizing Trump’s campaign? They are very busy sneering at it.
Very true.
Trump is in it to win it. However, these campaigns are long and fickle beasts and no doubt he has thought through other objectives.....the disruption of a Bush coronation, exposing the Clinton criminal enterprise and all their shenanigans as well as being the worst secretary of state ever, the potential to be a kingmaker with someone like Cruz etc....
The GOP won historic majorities at all levels in 2014. They have done nothing they promised to do, even worse they have done things that they promised to stop. Maybe the party needs to be fractured a bit and the leadership changed.
As I said months ago. Cruz could be trump points to and says, “the man I hired to make America great again.”
I hear you and I am willing to watch but I also know I have serious disagreements with Trump on major issues. One caution too: running this country like a business is not the answer unless you like your “boss” telling you what to do each day.
I do not doubt Trump wants to win but so what? I like him shaking up the party but I don’t think I would like him as President Arrogant!
The article attempts to convince people that Trump doesn’t have staying power. But he does.
We already have GOPe and conservatives trying to undercut each other. Now we can add Trump followers, which are a different blend of right wingers.
Trump proposes to use the federal governments power to whip the locals into line on immigration. That's not conservative(states rights)for example.
Just read on another thread that Trump supports lowering the Confederate Flag. F Him.
